Monday practices

Monday practices are reserved for playing
and performing members only.
We offer no instruction at these practices, however
they are open to the public and all are welcome to attend.

 Wednesday Practices

The Cameron Highlanders will Practice at
Helix High School
7323 University Ave
La Mesa, Ca 91941

We practice in the EXL Building located adjacent to the faculty parking lot at the front of the school.

We offer free instruction on the bagpipes and drums
at our Wednesday night practices.

Although we use Wednesdays as practices for the playing members, we have
several instructors to help beginners.  In addition, the rest of the members
are available for your assistance.
All that is needed for a beginning piper is a "practice chanter".
This learning instrument is available at our Wednesday night class.
The price is $20.00 and includes a small instruction booklet.
After that small investment, all you need to invest is your time
until you are ready to make the next move to the bagpipes.

Drummers may also purchase drum sticks at our class. You may
need to get your own drum pad from another source.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend.
We have students ranging in ages from eight years old to fifty or more.
Boys, girls, men and women are all encouraged to learn.
It is never too late to give it a try, but of course, the sooner and younger,
the better.
